You don’t even need a passport to have an epic escape this season. In Miami, Florida, where we shot our summer stories, our crew found you the coolest places to eat, drink, stay and play. All that’s left to do is hit the road or hop a flight. Vamonos!

Birdsong packs bra support into super stylish swim, like the Wild One High-Neck Bikini.

Lagoon blue is one of this summer's coolest colors. See how uplifting? (Shown: Bare The Favorite T-Shirt Bra.)

WHERE TO STAY:

Miami is a city with deep Art Deco and midcentury modern roots, and classic hotels that immerse you in those vibes. That’s why you can never go wrong at the Fontainbleau (that’s where The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel stayed in the show’s third season), The Betsy Hotel with all its Florida-Georgian southern charm or Casa Faena (still channeling Spanish architecture that was popular in 1928, when it was built).

For a more contemporary taste of Miami, take your pick from the new LEED-certified 1Hotel South Beach (while you’re there, do not sleep on the frozen Aperol Spritz served off-menu on the roof), SLS South Beach with rooms designed by starchitect Philippe Starck; or The Miami Beach Edition, hotelier Ian Schrager’s latest and greatest amenity-stocked property (did someone say ice skating rink?).

WHERE TO EAT:

One thing is for certain: You won’t go hungry in Miami. We’re fans of Carpaccio in the Bal Harbour Shops, Makoto for swank sushi, Byblos for Mediterranean, The Surf Club Restaurant by world famous chef Thomas Keller, Kiki on the River (Miami meets Greece, and restaurant meets club); COTE Miami Korean steakhouse; the Michelin-starred Stubborn Seed helmed by a Top Chef winner; and Motek Downtown for Middle Eastern mezzes like phyllo-wrapped beef and lamb “cigars.” And it wouldn’t be Miami without a taste of Cuba. Try Versailles, a longtime, casual, local institution in Little Havana.

BEACHES:

You can find “Florida’s Riviera” in North Miami’s Sunny Isles Beach. There’s public beach access located up and down Collins Avenue. If you prefer the easy amenities of a club, Nikki Beach Club combines music, dining, entertainment, fashion, film and art into one hot spot.

RAINY DAY:

Whether the weather is doing that hourlong daily afternoon rain or just too hot to hang, Bal Harbour Shops brings together the most jaw-dropping stores from Alexander McQueen to Zimmerman and everything in between. And, within a resort of the same name, the Acqualina Spa offers tried-and-true treatments as well as seasonal skincare and new wave sound treatments.

NIGHTLIFE:

Our sources suggest a jaunt to the Juvia rooftop, followed by a stop at late-night-bite spot La Sandwicherie. Alternatively, Freehand serves up craft cocktails in a lush backyard setting. Marion is an excellent spot for wine and cocktails. Day and night, there’s a lively scene over at Seaspice. Go dancing at Bodega Taqueria, with tacos in front and live music in the back.
