    • Second one, previous one lasted 5 years!
    • Prima Donna is a great brand. I have had some for 5+ years. I alternate, so each is only worn every 4 or 5 days. I have this bra and wanted another one because I use this a lot in the summer. Yes, they are expensive, but they last so long! I have never retired one since I started buying this brand in 2011.

    • A better alternative for some than Melody or Kaela
    • I have worn both Melody and Kaela, but Cassiopee is now the only bra that I buy. I have tried and tried and tried to find find a less expensive bra that provides comparable fit, shape, and lift but with no success. My rib cage is just under 30" and I wear a 30 in these three bras. The cup sizes are also accurate, so I advise that you measure properly and trust the measurements you have captured. These will be more predictive than any bra size you have worn in other brands. The cup shapes of all three models are rounded and natural, and they spread your breast tissue to achieve this effect. I would therefore describe them as minimizers, but unlike the Prima Donna Satin bras -- which push my breasts so far toward my armpits that they look strange even under loose-fitting clothes -- they will create completely natural looks even if you wear a small band with a large cup. All three provide very good lift. Comparing the three models, I've noticed a few minor differences: 1) the Cassiopee band is the stretchiest and the Cassiopee cups may be the deepest; 2) the Melody may permit slightly more side roundness and provide slightly less lift; 3) the Kaela may provide slightly more lift and make breasts appear slightly more centered and more pointed (though the cup shape is still rounded). Unfortunately the straps are annoying wide-set. Despite these differences, any of these models makes me look 20 years younger than a bra like Rive Gauche, and any enables me to wear a wider variety of clothing styles than I've worn in the past. Cassiopee gives me a better shape than Melody, and the closer-set Cassiopee straps work better than the Kaela straps because my shoulders are narrow. (If you have broader shoulders and your hips and rib cage are in perfect proportion, and if you wear close-fitting clothes, then you may like Kaela.) Where Cassiopee is concerned, I have only two complaints. A new Cassiopee band feels comfortable on the tightest hooks and will almost certainly have to be altered in time. Additionally, this exorbitantly expensive bra is not available in any light color that will match relatively inexpensive panties made by other manufacturers. The upshot is that I will do almost anything to avoid buying additional bras until Empreinte offers Cassiopee in more useful colors.
