I have severe sciatica in the back of my thighs...I can't take meds for it because of health reasons. So after hearing about Spanx I thought I would try them to see if I could get some relief by their compression feature. I've been wearing the waist to mid-thigh Power Panties #004 for a week now and they have tremendously helped with the pain. I didn't buy them for the usual reason but almost as a medical helper. They are extremely comfortable, no pinching, rolling waistline, and the mid thigh legs absolutely do not pull up or roll up. In my opinion, they are expertly engineered for the physical rigors of everyday movement....squatting, bending, reaching, sitting, exercising, etc. I can get them up and down very easily when using the restroom...and when I pull them up (even with long fingernails) they don't get holes or snags. They are very wearable and rugged. My only suggestion is that their sizing runs very small, so keep that in mind when ordering, and I'm not a huge person. If you are right on the line between two sizes on the size chart like I am....get the larger size. They do what they were designed to do, but they go much farther than that. Not what I expected
I'm 5'3 and 185 pds and the sizing chart recomended a size D. I was super excited to get these but they are not what I expected. They are soooo tight on me (thighs/belly) and the top rolls down over my stomach. I do have a flabbier belly because I had a baby 2 years ago but I'm disappointed to say the least. However, I will return these and try a bigger size and hope for the best.

Spanx power panty fits great.
I bought Spanx Power Panty to wear under a knit dress. It was very comfortable and did the trick to give me a smooth look in my dress.

I was surprised
I wore my first girdle when I was 12when I stole it out of my sister's room. It was a rite of passage for women in my family and I have worn one almost every day since. In the early days I wore hand me downs which might be called child abuse today. But at the time I was proud to be like my sisters and Momma who said of girdles, 'if it ain't hurting, it ain't working'. I do not think any woman is happy about receiving a girdle from a husband or boyfriend because I do not need to be reminded by HIM. But I have to admit this 'power panty' is surprisingly comfortable, though I am not sure it is working, because it isn't hurting. On weekends, it is the only shapewear that I wear.
