does this item run true to size

I saw this product on another site and it said to go down one band size and up 3 cup sizes is this true. I usually wear a 42 DDD

I had seen that recommendation so I wasa bit worried about the fit, but decided to order it in my regular size. I was looking in a store that did not offer this bra and almost settled for a molded cup bra. I would have had to go from a 38 to 44 band and up 2 or 3 cup sizes in the molded strapless bra. Luckily, I came to my senses and decided not to get that one.

That sounds about right. I usually wear a 38h and I think I would def have to go up at least 2 cups sizes for it to fit properly. I had problems with spillage out the sides and bottom.

Answer: 
Strapless bras don’t always fit the same as your regular bra and you may take a different size than usual in a strapless style. That being said I found this style to be more or less true to size and very supportive. The only thing I would caution about for this style is that the boning and seams are quite prominent so it cannot be worn with thin clingy fabric.

Not true to size. I ordered one of these bras in black and one in nude. They looked beautiful when they arrived. I ordered the strapless bras as I had a pacemaker put in two weeks ago and I thought I would be more comfortable without shoulder straps. I've worn a 36DD for years and all my bras fit me well. When I tried these new bras on the cup was way to small and I had to return them. March 23, 2013
Bra is not true to size I usually wear a size 38G, but bought this bra one cup size larger (38H) because of reviews and my past experience with strapless bras. The bra still did not fit. Might need to add additional three cup sizes for it to fit. February 14, 2013
