A review of this bra on The Lingerie Addict's website suggested that this bralette would be a more "forgiving" fit (like most bralettes), so since my bra size is not offered in the Von Follies collection I decided to try this style out.
I am normally a 30DD, but for this style I purchased a 32C. I would've tried the 34C since it is one of the sister sizes to 30DD, but I knew that would be waaaay too loose for me.
Upon putting the garment on, I noticed that this specific style runs a bit looser than the underwire Madame X bra. With that in mind I need to wear this bra on the tightest hook in order to get the band to fit right. The cups on this bra are wide and are indeed "forgiving," and the straps can be tightened all the way to ensure complete comfort. The seaming works wonders when it comes to cup support.
Only downside is that the lace is free-standing, there is no sheer under lining to it, so if you have your nipples pierced be wary of your jewelry possibly snagging on the lace half of the cup.
I like this bra, it is comfortable and very soft but for me personally, it is more of an "at-home" or sleep bra. The benefit of the Madame X style bras is that the straps adjust, giving those with small bands sizes & large cup sizes the opportunity to enjoy the Von Follies collection.
I ordered the underwire version of this bra & also wrote a review, hopefully it will be helpful for those who want to compare fit. Regardless of which style you choose, both bras are exquisite.
