So, who is Ellen Tracy? Actually, the name was invented by founder Herbet Gallen in 1949 as he was searching for a name for his brand new blouse company (though he does have a granddaughter named Tracy!). The other name on the label, Linda Allard, is the name of the designer who dreamed up the sportswear concept for Ellen Tracy in 1964, and the designer behind the always-modern, always-cultured clothing styles that Ellen Tracy has been producing ever since.
The theme throughout all of Linda’s innovative styles is that her clothes, above all, make women feel good about themselves, and what could feel better than something comfy on your feet? With socks and tights made of cashmere, angora, velvet, satin microfibers, or other soft fabrics, Linda Allard helps you look and feel great - from the bottom up!
