Cute! Figure-Flattering and Modest
I'll be swimming this summer for the first time in years, and after trying on a lot of swimsuits in stores that I *hated*, I decided that I need a bra top swimsuit (32DDD, enough said). I picked out a navy blue tankini from Panache (see below), but I wanted a swim bottom with more coverage than the one that actually goes with that top. This bottom is adorable with the top I bought, and together are about as full-coverage as swimwear gets. I typically wear a size M/8, but had to get this in a 10 because the sizing does run small like they say. So definitely order a size up from normal. I love how this swim bottom is designed. It has a modest brief-style bikini bottom inside with a lined gusset, and thin band of plastic or silicone or something around the waistband that helps it stay in place. I tend to expect "extra firm control" to mean it feels tight, but this is quite comfortable. On me the skirt is just long enough to cover my backside and upper thighs. The foldover-style waist combats muffin top. The side slit is only on the left and goes all the way up; it tends more often to stay closed so you still maintain a high level of coverage (and there's a brief underneath anyway), but it keeps the skirt from restricting your movement (which is important when underwater!). Its a little like having an attached sarong. One minor drawback: its hand-wash and line-dry only. I put mine in the washing machine on delicate and cold water (along with my tankini top, because if the colors do run together it will only make them match better) and hung it up to dry. That seems to be fine.
